Returning to the Reston Town Center Oct. 24-28: Washington West Film Festival!

Did you know that Fairfax County has a festival all of its own? It has, since 2011, and from October 24-28 the annual Washington West Film Festival, held at the Reston Town Center, will be showing award-winning films daily. In accordance with its motto, "Story can change the world," the festival will feature at least 40 films from filmmakers both local and global, not to mention special events featuring famous names from the film world. And it’s all for a good cause: proceeds from the box office are donated to charity organizations addressing global hunger, illness, and inequality.

Day-of tickets are available at the box office, but festival-goers say it’s a good idea to purchase all your tickets online ahead of time, as many of the films are expected to sell out.
