Nov. 29 Near St. John’s Wood: The Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, Sing Along & More!

The day after Thanksgiving, get ready to flip your switch to holiday mode. Reston Town Center has a full day of activities, and you won’t have any choice but to be filled with good cheer. The parade starts at 11 a.m., and will be packed with balloon, characters, cars, and more. Mr. and Mrs. Claus pull up the rear, and will stay on for photos, along with street entertainment and mini-train rides until 4:30 p.m. Santa then heads to Fountain Square, and you need to be right on his heels. There, you’ll find the tree lighting and sing along at 6 p.m. The Ice Skating Pavilion will be open all day, plus, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride until 10 p.m. Phew! That’s a whole lot of merry packed into one little day.
